Public Universities in Massachusetts

Public Universities in Massachusetts

Massachusetts is known for having some of the best universities in the United States and their public universities are no exception to this. Public Universities are universities that are predominantly funded by the public, meaning that they are funded through taxpayers, and the national and sub national government. There are currently twenty-nine public universities in the state of Massachusetts.

Quite a few people look down on public universities because they are often seen as not being as prestigious as private universities. However more often that not a person can receive the same education at a public university than they would at a private university. public universities are also much more affordable that private universities, resulting in a larger diversity of students and educators.

The Map below shows the public universities in Massachusetts. As you can see they are vastly spread throughout the state, making them easily accessible to everyone no matter where they are located. Also due to the Massachusetts MBTA service, many of these universities are also accessible by train.

  1. Your blog is well formatted and attractive. Work on the map. You want to work with the selection features to create new layers. Right now it's descriptive but does not show the kind of analysis we did in the lab. The map is missing feature(s)
